General Questions

Youth Memberships start from 14 years old (14-15 year olds must follow tailored gym program and some weight restrictions apply).

We also run supervised teen gym sessions on weekday afternoons for 12-14 year olds, participants must have a compulsory consultation before attending and follow their set program. We also offer term-based youth fitness programs that cater for 8-11 year olds.

As a new member you will be inducted into our gym by a fully qualified fitness professional. They will review your fitness aims and goals and create an exercise program accordingly. In addition, they will ensure you are confident to use our free weights and exercise equipment. This induction is a part of your membership and you are able to review your program with a trainer every 8 to 12 weeks. This ensures you are constantly being challenged and gaining results.

The minimum age for group fitness classes is 14 years old, with the exeption of Body Pump classes which are for 16 years and over due to resistance weights used in the class.

Our Active Seniors classes are specifically for older adults 60 years and over. If you are wishing to take part in these classes for rehabilitation or other reasons, please contact the centre prior to the class to discuss options.

Yes. All group fitness classes can be paid for on a casual basis, concession rates do apply. A valid seniors card must be presented for access to the Active Seniors classes as these are for 60 years and over. There is also the option for multi visit passes for group fitness classes.

Currently, only Aqua and Deep Water Running classes need to be pre-booked. This can be done 4 days in advance of the class time through the MyActive Portal or by phone on +61 451832105.

All other classes are available on a first-in first-served basis (tickets can be collected up to 2 hours before the class start time). If maximum participant number is reached you may be declined entry to a class.

You are able to obtain a ticket for a class up to 5 minutes after the start time. After 5 minute cut off, due to safety concerns, it is unsafe for us to allow you to participate after this time.entry to the class.
